This Seminary Built on Slavery and Jim Crow Has Begun Paying Reparations
The Virginia Theological Seminary is giving cash to descendants of Black Americans who were forced to work there. The program is among the first of its kind.

Dr. Melina Masihi, MD, PhD, is a visionary healthcare leader and accomplished Medical Director with over 14 years of expertise in clinical research, medical affairs, and precision medicine. Her contributions have been instrumental in securing multi-million-dollar NIH grants, publishing impactful peer-reviewed research, and driving successful product launches in partnership with industry leaders.
