Richard DeVito, M.S., is the co-founder and VP of Engineering at InnoTech Precision Medicine.

About Richard DeVito

Mr. Richard DeVito is a co-founder and Fractional Director of Engineering at InnoTech Precision Medicine, where he leads the engineering, technology development, and manufacturing operations for the company’s advanced diagnostic platforms. With over 30 years of experience in nanotechnology, MEMS, microfluidics, device research and development, and manufacturing leadership, Richard brings a unique combination of scientific expertise and hands-on engineering experience that drives innovation at InnoTech.

Richard earned his M.S. in Physics from Syracuse University and combines his training in physics with extensive engineering experience. Throughout his career, he has held key positions in leading organizations, including Principal Engineer at Raytheon, where he designed and optimized manufacturing processes for a variety of devices, and Principal Engineer at MKS, where he managed manufacturing workflows for chips used in EUA-authorized COVID-19 tests. He also directed the Nanomanufacturing Facility at Northeastern University for eight years, overseeing programs such as biosensor development with nanomaterials, and held leadership roles at Draper Labs, managing biology and MEMS facilities.

Richard’s technical expertise spans a broad array of micro- and nanofabrication processes, optical coatings, infrared sensors, and ceramic transducers, and he holds five patents on innovative equipment and device designs. As an entrepreneur, he has co-founded multiple technology companies, including ventures sold to Veeco Corporation and GT Advanced Technologies, and collaborated with Dr. Mollaaghababa on a diagnostic startup that was successfully acquired.

At InnoTech, Richard is instrumental in translating cutting-edge scientific concepts into reliable, manufacturable diagnostic devices. He oversees engineering design, prototyping, workflow optimization, and scaling for clinical and commercial use. His leadership ensures that the Recognize™ platform meets the highest standards of accuracy, reliability, and affordability. Richard’s deep technical knowledge, entrepreneurial experience, and strategic guidance are central to InnoTech’s mission of delivering innovative point-of-care diagnostics that transform patient care.
